Since the original film was made, The Department of Wildlife and National Parks, along with BCN and the National Trust for Nature Conservation have been rearing wild vultures in captivity and are now planning to release a small number back in to the wild. These vultures will be fitted with satellite tags which allows them to be tracked and monitored to ascertain if diclofenac in the wider environment still poses a threat.
The film will show how BCN and other conservation groups, along with strong government support and assistance, are making great efforts to safeguard the vulture population. The film will be used in talks, presentations and appeals both locally and internationally to raise awareness.
